At the event attended by many young girls and their parents, the Chairman of the occasion, Prof. Ken Nwogu, presenting his keynote address, noted that human beings sought the good and that such good was most times transmitted through learning and education.

‘The education of women is vital in the transformation and development of society,’ Prof. Nwogu explained.

Among the women doctors were Dr. Iloghalu; Dr. Tina Ego Enemuoh; Prof. Eucharia Obiageli Obiekezie and Dr. Ifeyinwa Immaculata Obiudu.

In the course of the educative event, Chinedu Oguejiofo, speaking on, “Girl Child Education”, informed the audience that the training of the girl child was a great service to humanity since educated girls shaped national consciousness.

In a similar vein, Dr. Ifeyinwa Immaculata Obiudu, in her paper titled, “Career Path Selection”, explained that developing self-confidence guided one to one’s destination, even as she insisted that seeking help from mentors was the way to succeed in life.

Fides gathered that Women Academic Doctors of Adazi-Nnukwu had set goals to create a mentoring programme that would build a strong and lasting relationship between mentors and mentees  to bring significant success in areas like social and emotional skills, moral character and academic success.
